Mohamed Salah Issues Statement to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has shared that Salah said sorry to the group of players after the fallout from his public comments.
What Happened
He was omitted from a key Champions League match following voicing frustrations and claiming his connection to the head coach had soured.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”
The manager has chosen not to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the 33-year-old forward.

The player stated that the squad's reaction remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” Jones added.
The midfielder also noted that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “It's clear there are certain ways you can go about things,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just not start, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
Team Form
Their results have stayed unbeaten in the period after the initial controversy. Jones believes the Salah's words were not intended to destabilise the squad.
“If passion has boiled over, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re building chemistry, playing well and securing victories.”
