The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' mantra that draws so many fans into the NFL

That result may have opened opportunities for the New England Patriots to creep back into a leading position they used to occupy, with a schedule that gives them an advantage over their eight and two rivals

Over in the National Football Conference the Seattle Seahawks and Rams had ideal outcomes to arrange a major confrontation in week 11, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the MVP award

The Breakdown - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen attempt too much or was it just a bad day for the Bills?

Was it just an emotional comedown from defeating Kansas City the previous week or a deeper issue? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to address

The Bills had secured seven victories in a row against the Dolphins but were outperformed from the start as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 winners in an eye-opening outcome - and performance

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the squad's opening first down in the third period and first points in the final quarter - admittedly Miami had 10 days to get ready but it was still a massive egg produced by one of the league's best offenses

Tua Tagovailoa threw two touchdowns but rusher Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 total yards and two touchdowns

Containing the NFL's top running game was also key, with James Cook and company recording just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the year and slightly more than half their 161.5 yard average

Additionally there were the three critical turnovers, and the pair from Josh Allen in particular. An interception in the scoring area resulting in a nine-minute drive produced nothing, and his final quarter fumble that Miami turned into seven points just later

It was typical 'old Buffalo' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defensive side and Allen attempting to do too much to dig his team out of it - rather than the calm, disciplined, well-balanced Buffalo team we've seen this year

The Dolphins have demonstrated a bit of everything this year so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll need an immediate bounce-back in a tough game against the Buccaneers next week as the Patriots are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the AFC East

Spotlight - Patriots See Path to Surprise Top Seed

Speaking of the New England, they're among three different eight and two squads in the league, all American Football Conference teams, but could they be the top team?

You can pick holes in the Patriots, Denver and Indianapolis really for feasting on the weaker opponents, with just five of their combined 24 wins coming against teams with a positive record - and one of those was the Colts defeating the Broncos

Denver beat the reigning champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are kings of the final quarter while Indy can ride Taylor, but the New England including Sunday's victory in Tampa to their prime time success in Orchard Park seems like a statement

Their two defeats occurred in recently appointed coach Vrabel's first three contests, with seven straight victories, just like the Broncos, since then - but defeating Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a week off to get ready was huge

Drake Maye's MVP claims continue to be discussed, and he certainly earns point for bravery after taking some savage hits in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to steer his side to success

The defense is solid and rookie rusher Henderson exploded on game day with 147 rushing yards and two exciting scores of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - establishing himself as just the fifth different runner to break 22mph this year on his initial touchdown

Although you can debate who 'the top team' is statistically, the Patriots should be favourites to end with the top record due to their remaining opponents - which features just one game against a winning team, albeit a huge one against the Bills

Traveling to Baltimore is also tough, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West with the Kansas City to play twice, the Chargers (who could also challenge for first place but face the identical challenge) and also the Packers on the fixture list

The Colts also face the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two matchups with the 5-4 Jaguars to face. There is a long way to travel but the door is open for a surprise top seed in the AFC

Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Prepare for Week 11 Clash

Two teams with strong arguments to be better than all of the three different 8-2 sides are NFC West rivals the Seattle and Los Angeles, who both put up 40 burgers to go to 7-2 ahead of next week's Hollywood blockbuster game between the pair in Los Angeles

They've both won four in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Stafford and Darnold playing at an elite level (although Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with top receivers, and defensive units allowing under 20 points a game

Each could easily be undefeated as too - especially the Los Angeles as their two defeats came in overtime against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning field goal with the last kick blocked and returned by the Eagles for a score

Seattle were also defeated to San Francisco, with a late touchdown in week one, before falling to the last kick of the game against the Buccaneers - so they're truly two of the best sides in the NFL

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season to date

Player of the Week - Jonathan Taylor
