Both Deceased Students Identified in the Ivy League School Shooting as Police Persist in Manhunt for Gunman.

Two students who were killed in the weekend's tragic incident in Providence were being remembered Monday – as a manhunt for their shooter continued following the release by Rhode Island officials of the sole person detained in connection in the case.

Honoring a Lost Student

Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama, was described as “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, according to the Advent Cathedral in Birmingham, which honored her memory at a gathering on Sunday.

The Second Victim

The second fatality was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, from Uzbekistan in his initial year at the renowned school, family members said.

The victim's identification was verified by the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
